Day 1: Meeting at the airport of Gorno-Altaysk, transfer with an excursion program. Your journey will begin along the Chuysky tract. Part of the trip goes along the banks of the largest river in Gorny Altai - Katun, and in a few hours you will find yourself on the Seminsky pass - the highest point of the Chuysky tract (1700 m). Then you ascend to the Yabogansky pass (1500 m). Descending from it, you find yourself in the Ust-Kansk steppe. A small, ornate Kyrlyk pass (1200 m), and you are in the Abai steppe. Along the way - you will have the most beautiful views of the mountains and steppes of Altai Mountains. Having crossed the Gromotukha pass, you again meet the beautiful Katunya and after about an hour of travel through the Uimonskaya valley, you arrive in the village of Tungur. Accommodation at the base, dinner, sauna at will, meeting evening, preparation of camping equipment, packing of backpacks.
Day 2: Today, after breakfast, we START in an organized manner! The first two days of the journey are on horseback.
Transfer of Gaz-66 to the bank of the river. Kuchera, Elan parking lot. Distribution of horses and loading of things. Ascent along the Kucherla river along the path gradually going up to the ridges. The Kucherla River (from the Altai Kujur-Ly, "with salt licks") has a total length of about 50 km, on its way it cuts through many mountain ranges and moraines, beats in gorges, forming an almost continuous chain of complex rapids. Today is the day of a leisurely ascent, on the way, you can take a lot of pictures. The trail is very picturesque - beautiful meadows alternate with ascents and a road through the forest. Overnight in tents on the bank of the stream.
Day 3: We continue the horseback ascent to the Kara-Turek pass. Today we will have a panoramic view of KUCHERLINSKOE LAKE.
We have a steep climb and stunning views from the tops of the mountain ranges. Great opportunity for photo and video shooting. In the afternoon, an extraordinary view of Lake Kucherlinskoe from an altitude of over 2300 m will open before us. KARA-TUREC "Black Heart" pass (3060 m).
The best panorama of Mount BELUKHA (4506 m)
Today we will overcome the most difficult part of the route - the Kara-Turek pass (difficulty category 1A, 3060 m, the nature of the obstacles is landslide), from which a magnificent panoramic view of Belukha Mountain and the endless peaks of the Katunsky ridge opens. Good photo and video opportunities. Descent to the Akkem lake. Choosing a place for the base camp. Overnight at Lake Akkem (2040 m). Here we part with the horses - further radial exits and hiking descent to Three Birches.
Day 4: Radial hike to the Yarlu Valley (7-8 km)
Valley of Jarlu, City of the Sun, Mother of the World, Labyrinth of Destiny. Jarlu Gorge ("Valley of Edelweiss") is famous not only for its unusual landscape, but also for its original combination and variety of colors. In the daytime, the slopes of the valley are painted in light blue; at sunset, the surrounding mountains take on soft pink-purple hues. Many esotericists and mediums claim that the strongest energy places are located here. Magnetic mountain, left spur. A beautiful view of the Kara-Turek pass opens here.
Day 5: Today the program includes a radial hike to the Chapel of the Archangel Michael - the highest religious building in Russia, dedicated to the memory of the fallen climbers and the Akkem glacier. You will see the spouting of the mountain rivers, look at the glaciers, and most importantly, you will see stunning views of the Katunsky ridge. Trek 10 - 12 km.
Day 6: Radialka Valley of Seven / Lake of Mountain Spirits
The Valley of Seven Lakes is a so-called hanging valley under the Ak-Oyuk peak (3670 m), where a large number of small picturesque lakes and waterfalls are concentrated. Seven different shades that are formed from the rocks that make up the bottom, which are different in each lake. The valley offers a magnificent view of the Belukha mountain range. Trek 6-7 km.
In the evening, a farewell bonfire at the feet of Belukha - we share our impressions.
Day 7: Saying goodbye to Akkem, packing. Going out to the trail to Three Birches, overnight on the Akkem river in the meadow "By the stream" Trek 15 - 18 km
Day 8: Exit to the parking lot "Three Birches", transfer through the Kazuyak pass to GAZ-66 to Tungur to the base. Bathhouse, dinner. Recreation!
Day 9: Breakfast, packing. In the afternoon departure to museums: We visit the Museum of Old Believers, the Museum of the Stone, the Pyramid Museum. Souvenirs, products of Gorny Altai.
