TOUR PROGRAM:
The first day:
Gorno-Altaysk (Biysk, Barnaul) - Chemal
Meeting guests at the Gorno-Altaysk airport (from 8 to 11)
We move along the Chuisky tract to the village of Ust-Sema, where we turn to the Chemal tract, which will lead us to the village of Chemal, one of the most visited places in Gorny Altai. Here are the famous tourist points that we will visit: the confluence of the Chemal and Katun rivers, the Chemal hydroelectric power station and the stone island of Patmos, on which the temple of the Apostle John the Theologian is built and to which a long suspension bridge leads.
For the night we are accommodated at a recreation center in the Chemal area.
Auto: 160 km. On the road, taking into account traffic jams and sanitary stops, 2 - 2.5 hours. The walking part is 3-4 km, 2 - 3 hours.
Second day:
Chemal - Chechkysh gorge - Oroktoy bridge - Beltertuyuk waterfall - Chemal
At the beginning of the day we will travel to the Chekchysh gorge and see the picturesque waterfall of the same name. The observation deck offers a magnificent view of the Katun River. Then we will visit the Oroktoy Bridge, through which many water and land tourist routes run. In this place there is a beautiful gorge, as well as rapids of 3 and 4 categories of difficulty - Teldekpen 1 and Teldekpen 2, which among water workers have an eloquent name "Stumps". Translated from the Altai language "Teldekpen" means "ascended road". These rapids are a corridor of rocks through which a fast river flow with whirlpools and underwater currents passes.
We continue our sightseeing trip towards the village. Kuyus, behind which, about 8 km, there is the Beltertuyuk waterfall. The waterfall has the status of a natural monument of the Altai Republic. The name of the waterfall in translation from Altai means the mouth, closed on all sides, closed. Consists of two cascades, the height of the lower 11 meters and the upper 29 meters.
After the excursion to the waterfall, we return to the recreation center.
Auto: 120 km, 3-4 hours on the road. Hiking part 6-7 km, 3-4 hours.
Tritium day:
Chemal - Chuysky tract - Seminsky pass - Chike-Taman pass - Chibit
We leave Chemal and move along the Chuysky tract. In a few hours we get to the highest point of the tract - Seminsky pass. Soon we cross the Chike-Taman pass, after which Katun appears in the windows of the minibus after a short break. In the village of Inya, we will see the old suspension bridge. In addition, nearby is the confluence point of the Katun and Chuya rivers, which is revered by the Altai as a sacred place. Then we follow along the Chuya river. The next attraction is the Kalbak-Tash tract, where ancient rock paintings have been preserved. Also today you will see the Deer Stones - stone steles with petroglyphs, as well as the White Bom rock massif and a monument to Kolka Snegirev.
At night we are accommodated at a recreation center in the Chibita area.
Auto: 320 km. On the road, 6 hours. The walking part is 3-4 km, 2 - 3 hours.
Day four
Chibit - Kurai steppe - Kyzyl-Chin tract (Altai Mars) - Geyser lake - Chibit
In the morning we leave for the Kurai steppe, where a majestic view of the Chuyskie Alps opens up - the North-Chuisky ridge. After a while, we will turn off the Chuysky tract onto a country road and find ourselves at the "Altai Mars" - a picturesque place at the beginning of the Chuiskaya steppe, near the village of Chagan-Uzun. The rocks here have a variety of colors - light brown, yellow, red and even green. In this place, the most unusual and beautiful photographs are obtained.
On the way back, we make a mandatory stop at the Geyser Lake, the lake is crystal clear and never freezes. The surface of the lake looks like a giant eye due to concentric circles that diverge from the center to the shores. The reason for this phenomenon is underwater geysers, which throw a mixture of sand and blue clay from the depths of the lake.
Return to the recreation center. Bath.
Auto: 180 km. On the road, 4 hours. Hiking part 5-6 km, 3-4 hours.
Day five:
Chibit - Gorno-Altaysk (Biysk, Barnaul)
Today we are going back along the Chuysky tract. At the beginning of the day, we will take a walk to the Maiden Tears waterfall, which is especially beautiful in May, when the stream of water rolls down a ten-meter rocky ledge and un-melted snow. We photograph the purple slopes of the mountains on which the Maral is blooming brightly.
On the way, we stop at the souvenir market.
Auto (Gorno-Altaysk): 440 km. On the road, excluding traffic jams and sanitary stops, 6-8 hours.
The first day:
